About Intuitive Eating Counseling:

CWHC partners with Martha Burla, MPH, CHES, a certified health education specialist and intuitive eating counselor, to offer one-on-one sessions for clients who are looking for help developing a more positive relationship with food. Martha works from a fat positive, Health at Every Size, trans inclusive perspective.

Intuitive Eating Groups

Intuitive Eating is a weight-inclusive approach to food and movement that has nothing to do with diets, meal plans, discipline, or willpower. In this group, you will learn how to get in touch with your body and heal your relationship with food.

Intuitive Eating Groups are led by CWHC volunteer, Martha Burla MPH, CHES. Who will most benefit from the Intuitive Eating Group?
● Folx who want to:
    ○ work on their relationship with food
    ○ improve their body image
    ○ commit to personal reflection in between sessions
    ○ commit to about 8 bi-weekly virtual, evening sessions

Who will NOT benefit from the Intuitive Eating Group?
● Folx who want to:
    ○ Address active eating disorders
    ○ Lose weight (Intuitive Eat is NOT a weight loss diet. Making peace with food
       does cause some people to lose weight, but others may gain weight or stay the
       same size. Weight loss is never the goal of Intuitive Eating. )
