Integrative Health Program

Our Integrative Health Program partners with like-valued providers to offer alternative healing modalities alongside traditional models of care.

Our Integrative Health Program is accepting new clients! All services are offered on a self-determined, sliding fee scale. We are unable to bill insurance for our Integrative Health services.

We offer longer appointments to allow time for our collaborative approach to care, an emphasis on preventive care and self-care, and health education.

We serve women, transmasculine and genderqueer individuals. We are committed to working with all of our clients to provide care that respects individuals' relationships with their bodies.

For any additional questions or to make an appointment, call our front desk Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 4pm at (773) 935-6126.

About the Integrative Health Program at CWHC

We offer a more comprehensive approach to care by connecting our clients to additional care modalities, such as acupuncture, massage therapy, nutrition counseling, and pelvic floor physical therapy. Learn more about each integrative care modality provided at CWHC below.

Integrative Health services include:

Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture, can support overall health and treat a wide range of conditions. Acupuncture (insertion of very fine needles through the skin) is recognized by the World Health Organization as an effective treatment modality and is increasingly applied in conjunction with Western Medicine in the U.S.  It is one aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which treats health holistically and promotes optimal homeostasis (balance) in the body. Acupuncture treats a wide range of conditions, from the common cold to infertility to pain and the adverse effects of medications. CWHC partners with Pacific College of Health and Science (PCHS) to offer sliding-scale acupuncture appointments on Thursday evenings.

Everybody has a pelvis. Anybody with pelvic floor dysfunction can benefit from pelvic floor PT. Pelvic floor dysfunction can manifest as many different symptoms, including pain with sex, leaking urine, low abdominal cramping, and more. CWHC partners with Ground Floor PT to provide sliding-scale pelvic floor therapy on Monday evenings. Ground Floor PT provides a specialty Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy clinic dedicated to building a better foundation for pelvic health.
