Volunteer

Volunteerism is at the core of CWHC. Our volunteer program is large and growing. We rely on and appreciate all our volunteers!

Currently, many people volunteer at the health center to assist us in a variety of ways: administrative help such as answering phones and data entry; web design and development; graphic design; and organizing benefit events such as music shows and poetry readings.

Do you have a special skill that you feel may benefit the health center? Do you have a free morning or afternoon that you would like to commit to assisting the health center on a regular basis?

The health center can utilize a variety of skills and we can usually develop a volunteer schedule that fits your needs whether it is for one specific project or a set time every week. Unfortunately, at this time most of our on-site volunteer projects occur during regular business hours, though occasionally we have special volunteer projects for evenings or weekends.

Current volunteer needs include: events planning, access programming, accounting assistance and medical billing preparation. Finally, we ask that those who have received counseling at CWHC wait two years before volunteering with us, in order to protect client confidentiality and to preserve the boundaries of the client/counselor relationship.

Volunteer opportunities will open up starting September 15, 2010. Please submit your applicaiton after that time.
