LUNCHTIME LEARNING: Supporting Your Young Person - Sexual Health for Adult Allies
Join CWHC’s Health Educators in exploring how to best support the young people in your life! These sessions are geared towards parents and caregivers of young people. Health Educators will discuss how to affirm young people’s questions, concerns, and experiences of:
- How to answer your young person's questions about sex and sexual health
- Crushes and first-time romantic relationships
- Navigating consent and boundaries during COVID-19
- Exploring body image, self-esteem, and media literacy
When: Weekly on Tuesdays, from 12-12:45pm, starting on Tuesday, May 5th
LUNCHTIME LEARNING: Body Talk
Join CWHC Nurse Practitioner Erika Enk in discussing -- and challenging -- common messages we receive about our anatomy and hormones. Erika will facilitate lessons about:
- Vaginal health for all times, and specifically during COVID-19
- Cervical health and self-exams
- Chest and breast health
When: Weekly on Fridays, from 12-12:45pm, starting on Friday, May 8th
Pelvic Health: An Introduction
What is a pelvic health, why does it matter, and how can a person care for it? Join Physical Therapist Sarah Ecker as she answers these questions and shares best practices and tips on pelvic health! Sarah will provide an overview of anatomy and address common symptoms related to pelvic health, in addition to focusing on:
- Impacts of sleep, diet, stress, and anxiety
- Managing general pelvic pain
- Experiences of urinary urgency and chronic constipation
- Pregnancy and postpartum related tips
- Pelvic health and sexual function
When: Videos shared via email once a week, starting the first week of May
A Path to Pregnancy: CWHC's Alternative Insemination Program
For over 35 years, CWHC’s Alternative Insemination (AI) Program has been supporting people on the path to pregnancy. Join Noshaba Bhatti, CWHC’s AI Coordinator, for a discussion of our method and approach, and to talk through your questions and concerns.
When: Tuesday, May 12th, from 7-8pm
How to Participate:
Registration is required to participate in CWHC's virtual programming. Click here to register for any and/or all of our available programs.
Online platform links will be emailed ahead of each program.
CWHC’s virtual programming is donation-based, on a recommended sliding scale of $20-$10 per session. Donations can be made using our secure online donation form here (please include "Online Learning" in the "I'm donating today because" line of the donation form), but do not need to be made in advance. No one will be turned away based on ability to pay.
