Meet Emily, May Volunteer of the Month!
Posted on May 14
Q: How long have you been volunteering at CWHC?
A: Since December of 2010 - almost 2 and a half years!
Q: What do you spend your time doing outside of CWHC?
A: I work as the office manager for the Walters O'Brien Law Offices, a small civil rights and criminal defense firm. I am currently preparing for the LSAT in June, so recently it seems like that's all I spend my time doing! When I'm not working, I like to read, watch dorky tv shows (Doctor Who!), and cook (I'm currently trying to improve my pastry-making abilities).
Q: What is your favorite project that you've worked on here and why?
A: As a phonester, I don't really have many projects per se. However, one of my favorite volunteering experiences here was working at our first annual gala - it was incredible how everything just seemed to come together so wonderfully.
Q: What is your spirit animal?
A: This one is kind of a cop-out for me, since it's my last name, but I still have to say the wolf. They symbolize the strength that can come from unity and friendship.
Q: What three words would you use to describe CWHC?
A: Welcoming, essential, unique
