Advanced Practice Nurse
Are you a feminist nurse practitioner? Would you like to be part of a client-centered health care model that allows longer visits with an emphasis on prevention and health education? CWHC has pioneered client-centered care for the past 42 years and is looking for a like-minded Advanced Practice Nurse to join us!
The Advanced Practice Nurse’s focus will be to provide direct primary care to clients, including addressing mental health concerns within primary care visits and in collaboration with Counseling and Integrative Health Services. Additionally, practitioners will work with a team of health educators and volunteer physicians to provide care in the areas of gynecology, alternative insemination and transgender hormone therapy and to provide leadership to support our primary care services and Nurse Practitioner model. This position may require being accessible by phone after business hours on a limited basis.

Counseling interns receive training and support in providing counseling from a feminist-relational perspective and will provide individual, couples, and group counseling services. Counselors at CWHC value client self-determination as an integral part of the therapeutic relationship.
Internships are open to second-year Masters of Social Work or Counseling students and fourth-year PsyD students with previous counseling experience.Applicants must have excellent interpersonal, communication, assessment, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills. People of all backgrounds, particularly people of color, LGBTQ individuals, and people with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.
